Entrapment, Suffocation Risks Prompt Recall of PeaPod Travel Tents by KidCo

Product: PeaPod Lite: P001 (Canada only)
PeaPod Models: P100, P101, P102, P103, P104
PeaPod Plus Models: P201, P202, P203, P204, P205, P900CS
Hazard: Infants and young children can roll off the edge of the inflatable mattress, become entrapped between the mattress and the fabric sides of the tent, and suffocate.
Incidents/Injuries: 3 incidents in Canada and 6 in the U.S. with no injuries and one death, where cause of death is reported as ‘undetermined’
Remedy: To receive a repair kit that includes a thinner replacement air mattress and braces that will strengthen the sides of both models, fill out the form below and submit to KidCo. Kits will be sent out starting mid December, 2012.
